Just in time for the start of the holiday season, the Maryland Food Bank received a generous donation of fresh macaroni and cheese from partners at Land O’Lakes. The mac & cheese, which is pre-prepared and ready to eat, will be distributed through the food bank’s statewide network of nearly 800 community partners.

On Friday, October 17, the food bank hosted representatives from Land O’Lakes, as well as Maryland Secretary of Agriculture Kevin Atticks, to celebrate the donation.

“This donation comes at a time when we are seeing record levels of food insecurity, with one in three Marylanders facing hunger this year. Thanks to Land O’Lakes, we have mac & cheese, a holiday comfort food favorite, ready to help make the fall a little brighter.” – Meg Kimmel, President and CEO, Maryland Food Bank.  end story icon
